Yesterday and Today, The Beatles' 9th album released on Capitol Records (12th overall in the US), was surrounded by controversy over its original 1966 "Butcher Cover," which was quickly recalled and replaced with a more conservative pose of the Fab Four. The album was considered a compilation of hits from their earlier albums.
