Neil Young's concert performance October 22, 1978 at the Cow Palace in San Francisco was immortalized in a film documentary. Directed by Neil Young (calling himself Bernard Shakey), the film Rust Never Sleeps was released in 1979. In 1987, Rolling Stone Magazine declared the concert, "One of the greatest live performances of the last twenty years."
